Kick-Off Meeting
On May 20, 2024, we held the kick-off meeting for the Normalized Systems Laboratory (NSLab) at the Faculty of Information Technology, Czech Technical University in Prague. The meeting was attended by all potential initial members of the lab, head of the department and other colleagues from the faculty. Marek as the head of the lab presented the vision and objectives of the NSLab. Every member of the lab introduced themselves and shared their background and interests. Michal Valenta, the head of the department, and Robert Pergl, the head of CCMi, provided broader context and consultation. Finally, we discussed the lab’s mission, goals, and initial projects, as well as the roles and responsibilities of each member.
The kick-off meeting was an important milestone in the establishment of the NSLab. It marked the beginning of our journey to advance research and education in Normalized Systems. We are excited to work together to address complex challenges in this field and to contribute to the wider community of researchers, students, and industry professionals.
Out kick-off did not escape the attention of the faculty’s PR department, which published an article about the NSLab on the faculty’s website as well as social media, e.g. Facebook. The article provides an overview of the lab’s mission and objectives, as well as the expertise of its members. Our university prepared a press release about the NSLab as well, which was published also in the ComputerWorld magazine.
We look forward to sharing our progress and achievements with you as we embark on this exciting new initiative. Stay tuned for updates on our projects, events, and collaborations. We are committed to making a positive impact through our work at the NSLab, and we invite you to join us on this journey.
